WINNERS of the 'Celebration Cake Business of the Year 2013' Award
The 2013 Baking Industry Awards took place at the Park Lane Hilton, London on Wednesday 11th September.
The glitzy evening celebrated the best in the business as the 2013 winners were announced by
awards host and TV personality Myleene Klass.
Now in its 26th year, the annual Baking Industry Awards is the premier event in the UK bakery calendar and has been recognising industry excellence since 1987. The awards are attended by over 800 key industry executives from across the industry,
such as national chains Tesco, Adsa, Gregg's, as well as many local independent businesses,
with prizes awarded across 11 categories including Celebration Cake Business of the Year.

Over 30 Cake Businesses from around the UK entered our category, and from them, 9 were shortlisted to the semi-finals,
and were asked to create a cake with the theme of 'Around the World'.
We were all judged on the cake we created, along with our overall business. These 9 were then whittled down to 3 finalists who attended the awards in London, where we were crowned the overall winners and awarded the title of Celebration Cake Business of the Year! We are incredibly proud to have won this award as our business is our passion and so much time and effort goes into it.

Our two-tier Around the World cake comprises six sides and has a fantastic collection of destinations and people. They include Hawaii, Thailand, Egypt, plus Easter Island featuring huge heads; Australia, represented by a Bondi Beach surfer; London, with the Queens' Guards; India, depicting a lady wearing a hand-painted sari; and China, represented by bamboo and a panda.
On top of the cake sits a miniature pagoda with a Geisha girl, right in theme with the Baking Industry Awards evening, while a dragon winds itself around the whole creation.
