How it all began...

Terry first discovered his talent for decorating cakes back in 1986 when his wife Carol attempted to make a cake for their eldest daughters first birthday. Unfortunately Carol quickly realised she couldn't decorate cakes so he took over and made a brilliant clown cake. Terry , Dad of two daughters Suilin and Leanne continued to develop his skills in cake making every time one of his daughters had a birthday. Terry a builder and stone mason found himself redundant in 1993 so had more time to develop his skills even further by making cakes for family and friends. He joined the British Sugarcraft Guild and began competing winning a Gold award for his very first competition. He soon realised he had a passion for cake designing so decided to turn his hobby into a full time job, he has since gone on to win many awards at a National level for his outstanding work. |

In 2005 , Carol his wife, who bakes all the cakes, gave up her job to help him grow and develop the business and they moved into a shop on Picton Road. That same year their youngest daughter Leanne also joined the business. Leanne has since gone on to win awards for her own outstanding work and has become an integral part of the business.
Terry Tang Designer Cakes is now based in Woolton Village, and the business is busier than ever.
