Leanne Tang - 2nd Place Celebration Cake Maker of the Year 2012

This was the 25th Anniversary of the Baking Industry Awards, so the theme of the 2012 awards was 1980's, when the awards began. The event was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair, London on Wednsday 12th September and was hosted by Jason Donovan.
Leanne decided to go for the TV & Movie theme of the 80's, with a large old fashioned TV set on MTV, featuring characters such as Jessica & Roger Rabbit, Super Mario, Gremlins, Indian Jones and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, made from sugar and chocolate paste. The sponsors said this was their favorite piece of work they had seen from Leanne. |
